********************************************************* Hi There! In order to deal with the volume of e-mails we receive from viewers asking about YTV's anime programs, we have created this special bulletin packed full of up to date information. Please understand that we receive thousands of e-mails a week and this is the easiest way to address all of your questions. Fall is an exciting time at YTV with lots going on. Our Fall schedule officially starts on September 11, 2000. For those of you that were watching on September 4, 2000 what you saw was a special sneak preview for our new Fall schedule. Complete schedule information can be found by visiting our website at http:/www.ytv.com on September 11. Although we will have a new schedule, that doesn't mean that we always have new episodes. For many of our anime programs we have been experiencing an interrupted delivery schedule. This means that we do not have all episodes ready and waiting to air. Therefore, you probably won't be seeing a new episode every day. Don't worry though, we'll get them in the schedule as soon as we receive them from our distributor. At this point it is hard for us to tell you exactly what episodes we have, so you'll have to keep watching to ensure you're watching the new episodes. Please remember that all schedules are subject to change without notice. Now read on to see what's happening with your favourite anime shows...... SAILOR MOON: GOOD NEWS!!! YTV will be airing the new 'Sailor Moon S' episodes this fall. New episodes of 'Sailor Moon' are scheduled for September 12, 2000, beginning with "Star Struck, Bad Luck". DRAGONBALL Z: You can catch new episodes of 'DragonBall Z' starting September 16, 2000. Please remember that because we do not have possession of all the new episodes, we aren't going to be able to air new episodes every day. The Fall schedule for 'DragonBall Z' is: Friday at 6pm E/P -- new episodes when available Monday at 8pm and 8:30 E/P -- new episodes when available Monday to Friday at 4am E/P -- will be repeating previous seasons Please note that YTV has no plans to air 'DragonBall GT' anytime soon (Be assured that the Programming Department knows that DBZ fans want YTV to air the GT series). There are also no plans to air the original 'DragonBall' series, as our contract for these episodes has expired. We also do not have plans at this time to air any DBZ movies. YTV airs DBZ in the format that we receive it from our distributors. We do NOT edit the program at YTV and therefore we do not control what gets taken out. Canadian television standards must be adhered to and may be different from those in other countries. Many of you have asked us for copies of 'Dragonball Z'. We are glad to hear that you enjoy the show so much that you would like your own copy, but at present YTV does not provide copies of our programs. We hope you can understand that we simply do not have a service in place to accommodate such requests. Also, we feel it is important to note that we are generally only licensed to broadcast programs and not to distribute them. GUNDAM WING: Special Announcement!!!! However, we do have a new episode scheduled each week for the first 6 weeks. On September 11 we will begin with "The Girl from Mystic". We are sorry if the scheduling of "Girl From Mystic" is disappointing for you and differs from what you had expected. We hope that you can understand that we air the series in the format in which it is received from our distributor. YTV has no role in the production of the series. This means we are not responsible for the voices, translations, theme music or storyline. With this said, we have been assured that beginning with this episode will not interrupt the storyline. ANY OTHER ANIME: Other than that, our Programming Department has not made an announcement regarding any other "new" anime programs to air on YTV in the near future. Although we have received many inquiries - there are NO current plans to air japanimation programs such as 'Card Captors' or 'Ranma 1/2'. We are sorry if this news is disappointing, however we hope you understand that YTV tries to offer a variety of programs that will appeal to our wide variety of audiences. Please be assured that all suggestions have been sent to our Programming Department for their consideration. This is all the current news we have about anime on YTV. We hope this information was helpful. Please remember that all schedules are subject to change without notice. Thanks for watching and remember, Keep it Weird! YTV Viewer Relation Department
