8-18-98---- New Fall TV Season

Well it's about that time of year again, when details on upcoming Fall TV series in Japan begin getting out:

Saber Marionette J 2 (October) The sequel of Saber Marionette J.

Steam Detectives [Kaiketsu Jouki Tanteidan] (Oct. 7) Asamiya,Kia's detective stories. Narutaki is a detective boy, and he solves mysteries in Steam City.

Kurogane Communication (October) After the final war, only a girl is alive on the earth. This is a stroy of her and 5 robots.

St.Luminous Girls High School [St.Luminous Jogakuin] (October) Many accidents occur to a girls high school.

Ophen the Sorcerer [Madoushi Ophen] (October) Ophen is a sorcerer, who chases a woman. This anime chronicles his many adventures.

His circumstances and her circumstances [Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou] (Oct) Gainax's new Tv series project, Hideaki Anno is in some capacity heavily involved in the creation most likely as director or writer.

8-15-98---- New Slayers OAV Series/ Royal Space Force (Wings Of The Honneamise) Dolby Digital Sound Renewal DVD

Slayers Excellent, a new 3 volume OAV series is slated for an release October release in Japan.
July 25th, the highly anticipated Royal Space Force (Wings Of The Honneamise) Sound Renewal Version went on sale on DVD in Japan. The disc is packed with features and extras, choice of Original Dolby Stereo Soundtrack, English Subtitles, English Soundtrack and the new Dolby Digital sound ver. According to Gaianx's Homepage, the DVD is Country Code Lockout FREE so it should playable on any DVD player manufactured.

8-13-98---- Lodoss TV / Video Girl Ai On The Way To America

A few recent U.S. aquisitions to report. First up, Central Park Media has announced they have the rights to Lodoss TV. Secondly annouced recently at Otakon, Viz said they're bringing over Video Girl Ai.

8-6-98----Mononoke Hime American Release Delayed Further

Miramax's English version of Mononoke Hime which has been plagued with delays since it's aquisition, has been pushed back once again, and should debut in American theaters in August 1999. The Japanese languege LD and VHS versions are all ready available via import, and a nice timed script is pretty easily atainable on the web.
