From the team behind the hilarious Slayers TV series, Lost Universe is a wacky Sci-Fi / Fantasy trip following Kain, Millie, and Canal - the crew of the Sword Breaker starship as they take on one difficult or just plain crazy mission after another. In volume 2 the fun continues, episodes 5-8 are present here on the 100 minutes running time bilingual English / Japanese DVD. POP/Cinram studios produced this release, turning out some some interesting menu animation effects. Both soundtracks play well, the English voice cast could use some tweaking, Kain's English voice actor sounds a wee bit old, Millie's english voice sounds a wee bit too high. Minor pixellation reported in the first volume release returns in a few scenes in volume 2.
No extras are included on the second volume, there are trailers included for Ruin Explorers, Slayers: The Motion Picture, Evangelion, Bburn Up Warrior, Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, and several series in the ADV compilation.
ADV Films will release the second DVD volume of Lost Universe September 12th at a retail price of $29.98.
