11-28-00---- eigoMANGA Launch

Excerpted from the official press release:

Houston , TX -- -- 11/28/00 3:47:28 AM - Prime North, a start up Texas-based digital comic book publisher who owns and operate eigoMANGA.com (http://www.eigoMANGA.com) an online comic book site is attempting to take the comic Internet experience to a whole new level. With comic book web sites providing competitive online comics and resources, the company decided to redirect its mission by expanding eigoMANGA.com's web site services and features in order to provide an Internet experience second to none. The web site now features more online comics, 3D animation webisodes, an anime radio station a larger online games arcade, free email, a comic auction site, art tutorials, and many new features to be announced.

"Comic book publishing companies especially top companies like Marvel and Dark Horse are starting to realize that online comics are the wave of the future." according to Austin Osueke, President of Prime North, Inc. ". Even though these companies are established and dominate the market, the Internet takes things on an even playing field. The players that win in this game are the ones that can provide quality content that utilizes state of the art Internet technology and at the same time easily accessible to all visitors."

Many industry sources believe the Internet is attribute to the declining comic market and comic sites providing comic e-books are supplement to that decline.

"It's a new age in comic books. The industry has evolved into a new age. There was the Silver Age, Golden Age, and now there's the Digital Age for the comic industry. I don't think comic book publishing companies should fear this new age but embrace and adapt with it. In this new age of information, large or small companies of any industry must evolve with the new age or risk extinction. It's a good sign when a company like Marvel Comics realize this new trend and adapt with it."

With established comic book companies as well as other start up companies establishing their presence on the Internet, competition is raised on a whole new level. eigoMANGA.com's goal is to be the harbinger of the Internet comic industry.

"It's great that there is a lot of competition to attract an audience, it only makes the industry better. It makes us better. We review these sites in comparison with our own and we obtain constructive feedback from industry leaders and fans. We do this in order to figure out why are these sites popular and what can we provide that separates us from the norm. We use that feedback as well as the best qualities and features on the Internet to improve the strength of our site."

When eigoMANGA.com first officially debuted in May of 2000, its focus was to publish and promote Japanese influenced comics (mangas) online. Since then, the web site has expanded its mission by providing more advanced features using state of the art Internet technology and partnerships. Their growth has attracted a larger audience and stronger business partnerships in the information technology and comic book industry.

"Our goal is to be the number one comic site on the Internet and to achieve that we can't be like everyone else. And if we are. we have to take things to a new level. That's why our comics have unique Shockwave sub sites to match their unique themes and subject matter. We created Shockwave games based off these titles. We provide many other features like a 24-hour Internet anime broadcasting and a comic auction site. There aren't many sites if any that goes to these lengths to provide visitors with the ultimate online experience and we tirelessly work to keep it that way. eigoMANGA.com is a great site but it will not be the same site six months from now, it will always evolve into a stronger comic site that is second to none".

The company is currently collaborating with top comic publishing companies and licensees to market and distribute their original content into comic book/trade paper back format as well as other forms of merchandise.
