11-2-99---- Cebulski Launches Fanboy Entertainment, Partners With Studio Tron

On October 25th C.B. Cebulski, ex-CPM Manga editor-in-chief, announced the formation of a new entertainment venture, Fanboy Entertainment, Inc. Based in New York City, the company will be fan oriented, producing more products and merchandise that comic fans themselves want and request, allying with U.S. and Japanese creators.

Fanboy plans to introduce a number of products in the coming months, launching with a high-quality, signed and numbered Dark Angel lithograph, illustrated by Kia Asamiya. Limited to 1000 copies, the Dark Angel lithograph will go on sale in comic stores across the country in November, but will also be available earlier on the internet auction website eBay.

Other Asamiya products are be offered shortly thereafter as Fanboy Entertainment has entered into a partnership with Kia Asamiya's STUDIO TRON. Kia Asamiya is the creator of such manga series as Steam Detectives, Dark Angel, Silent Mobius and Nadesico. He is also the artist of the sensational upcoming Star Wars: Episode One manga due out in December from Dark Horse Comics.

"Asamiya-sensei is an amazing talent and a wonderful person. He and I have become extremely good friends over the past few years. When he heard I was leaving CPM, he called to express concern over my future. I told him I had plenty of things lined up and not to worry. He then asked me if I would be interested in representing some of his properties and interests here in the U.S. I was floored to say the least!", Cebulski said. "Asamiya is a work horse and is extremely busy in Japan as it is, but he really wants to get more work over here in the States. This is something I will be trying to handle for him. He also wants to get his Japanese manga work into the hands of as many of his U.S. fans as possible, which is another task he and I will be tackling here. One of the first jobs we will be undertaking is the construction of his English language website, www.studiotronjapan.com."
