"Our warehouse will be definitely closed until the 6th, but we hope to open in early in the following week. However, due to the uncertainties of new accounting systems we are playing it safe with our customers.
There should be little impact for consumers. We adjusted our production schedule to ship some titles early to avoid the closure and our manufacturing is not located at our warehouse so that continues on schedule. There will always be some exceptions and any rush orders placed this week will be problematic to fill, however, we don't anticipate any significant effect."
Higher Voltage is reporting that
it has been officially announced by SNK/Aruze that they have completed the development of a new board. The MVS2 Board (Em-Vee-Ess-Too). It is said to have enormous power and it will supposedly be able to generate graphics that can rival that of Capcom's CPS3.
In addition to this, SNK/Aruze has officially announced that the following games are in development:
The King of Fighters 2001
Last Blade 3
Samurai Spirits 5
Garou 2
Metal Slug 4
- In response to someposts to the Anime On DVD forum regarding finger puppets being included in the third volume of Tenchi Universe, Taku Otsuka of Pioneer has posted the following information to the site:
"We have received some emails from consumers about not receiving finger puppets with their Tenchi Universe 3 DVD. I believe there was been people on this forum that have said the same also.
The preorders for volume 3 exceeded our initial predictions for sales of this DVD series and not enough finger puppets were printed. For volumes 1 & 2 there were enough finger puppets to cover preorders. Any retailer that received Tenchi Universe DVD's from the initial production should have received finger puppets. But for volume 3, the preorders exceeded the number of finger puppets we printed. There were some DVD's produced in the initial run that were not packaged with finger puppets.
I would like to comment on volume 4 finger puppets but not all preorders are in. So I do not have a clear picture of the situation yet.
The finger puppets are a limited promotional item and they all have been printed in advance. There are no current plans to reprint more.
I am sorry that we can not guarantee that you will receive a set of finger puppets with your Tenchi Universe DVD purchase. I can only recommend that you preorder your DVD with your favorite retailer known to have product in stock by the street date.
Your feedback on this subject is welcome and I hope to have a solution that is amicable to all.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and thank all our customers for their continuing support. If there are any future announcements about this issue, they will be posted here on this forum.

Bubblegum Crisis Mega Series 4 Pack is Introduced With Exciting New Upgrade Offer for Owners of Previous Version
Paul Bader, CEO of M2K, Says Thanks to the Anime Community for Their Reviews and Support; Offers Upgrade Plans
SEATTLE-Sept. 29, 2000-- An open letter to the anime community regarding M2K's newest release, Bubble Gum Crisis Mega Series 4 Pack.
From Paul Bader, CEO, M2K
Friends and Loyal Customers,
It has been an almost a year since we last spoke to the anime community about Bubble Gum Crisis DVD Suite. At that time, we were completing the latest modifications on Bubble Gum Crisis DVD Suite and committing to our goals for the future. I am pleased to announce that we have completed the latest re mastering of Bubble Gum Crisis DVD Suite and have added a new Volume 4 of the previously omitted Hurricane Live! videos.
We have completed all the modifications requested by the anime community and addressed the technical issues concerning audio and subtitles. The lag time for re-introduction was due primarily to legal and ownership wrangling between old and new license holders. We could not complete the re mastering until license issues were negotiated and the way was cleared for us to begin work on the project.
The newest Bubble Gum Crisis Mega Series is now ready for your enjoyment and review. The new Mega Series includes the original 3 Volumes of Bubble Gum Crisis DVD Suite, fully re mastered, and the new Volume 4 of the complete Hurricane Live! Videos. Many deserve credit for this latest achievement and all are looking forward to your comments and input. We take our stewardship of the Bubble Gum Crisis franchise very seriously and we realize that your involvement is critical to the quality and honesty of the finished product.
We have established a trade up program for customers who already own the Bubble Gum Crisis DVD Collectors Series 3 Pack. Customers can send us their Bubble Gum Crisis Collectors Edition 3 Pack and receive the new Bubble Gum Crisis Mega Series 4 Pack for $39.95 + $6.95 shipping and handling. This offer represents significant savings from the retail price and allows our loyal customers to upgrade quickly. Our customers can visit www.m-2k.com/specials/bgc2 to take advantage of the trade up offer.
Again, we are proud to introduce the new Bubble Gum Crisis Mega Series 4 Pack and are very thankful to all those that have taken the time to help us along the way with reviews and suggestions. This one's for you!

As promised, we wanted to get everyone up to date on the state of the licensing affairs. We've made another call into Toycom Wednesday morning, shooting the same question--"What's going on with the toys and the licensing negotiations???" Auden indicated that nothing new had progressed since we spoke last week. As in earlier statements, the negotiations are still ongoing. Nevertheless, we maintained our persistence and made another call to Harmony Gold in attempts to get some news. The folks at Harmony Gold declined to comment and deferred all questions to their public relations firm, Morris Marketing. I left a message with the Morris Marketing receptionist and was waiting for a return call. Late Wednesday afternoon, I received a call from Harmony Gold. To my surprise, the call was from, Alan Letz, Vice President, of Harmony Gold. (Somewhere in my efforts, my inquiries were finally passed on to executive management.)
I expressed my concerns (as well as indicating that I speak on behalf of all the Valkyrie Exchange customers and thousands of Macross fans) to Alan over the licensing matter, citing that the negotiations have been lengthy and that many fans are pessimistic about a US release of the Macross Plus toys. Alan did confirm that the negotiations are still continuing and noted that the negotiations were progressing "positively" along. Unfortunately, Alan could not provide any hard dates when I pressed for some definitive timelines.
Alan explained that the process has been slow due to language, cultural, and time zone differences between them and Big West. He expressed his own interest (as a fellow fan) in seeing this negotiation resolved and mentioned that more information will be publicly available in late October through Harmony Gold's official Robotech site, www.robotech.com. Apparently, the official site launch is happening in late October and will include information on the licensing status. Near the closing of our conversation, Alan put in his sales pitch on the company's upcoming, Robotech 3000, project. He indicated that they were doing some "great, cool" stuff on this new project and that there's going to lots of new mecha for the show. I asked Alan if the Robotech 3000 mecha would be taken from any of the Macross series or spin-offs. He was only able to hint that there is SOME mecha taken from the Macross series/spin-offs but new mecha will also be introduced with the show. Alan proudly commented that the new mecha would be even better than the Toycom Valkyries!!! I inquired Alan for more details but was unsuccessful. After that, I thanked Alan for returning my call and giving me an opportunity to address some questions.
Some 120 million years ago, a king named Satan fell to hell and instigated a rebellion against gods, all kinds of confusion and evil effects began to occur on earth. El Cantare, the highest existence of Earth, allowed a part of his spirit to descend on earth to put an end to the realm of Hell. El Cantare's consciousness descended to the continent of Mu, to Atlantis, to ancient Incan Empire, to Greece, and to India as Gautama Siddhartha and awakened people with the power of enlightenment.

"I got the answer straight from Buena Vista's reps.
"In having your question checked out - I was informed that the English subtitles on the Mononoke DVD are literal English translations of the Japanese dub."
This says to me that they are using the Ghibli subtitle script. Since their translations on the subtitled prints are usually pretty good, I'd have to say they'd at least be decent."
